Overview Oh no! The bulb burnt out on the projector. You can't see the movie anymore, but you can still hear it... can you name it? That's the idea behind the Burnt Bulbs contest. Each week or so, a new Burnt Bulb quiz will challenge you with 9 more sound clips. Play To play, you first need to click on one of the numbered frames. A sound clip is played from a movie and you are prompted to guess what you think the movie is. If you are wrong, you will be told that you are incorrect and you can guess again. If you are correct, the projectionist gets a new bulb into the projector so that you can see the clip properly. Under that, a quick review is provided for the movie with a link to read more about it. Also, that frame is marked as completed. Hopefully the top three are the easiest to figure out (by knowledge or IMDB and Google help), the middle three tougher and the last three the most difficult. Top Scores If you name all 9 of the films, you are provided a space to enter your name. Your name and the time and date you completed the contest will be added to the Top Scores page. Answers When a new Burnt Bulbs is added to the site, the answers are posted for the previous week. Additionally, two sets of clues are placed on each quiz during the week to help. Problems? Don't click too fast and Don't Double Click If you start one sound and then another and then see a video and click another sound really fast, there has been times that the browser crashes on you. This is rare, but if it's happening to you it can be avoided by stopping the video or sound before moving on. If you are having other problems, please let me know what you're seeing by email!
